Y for All Financial Assistance
The Y strives to make our programs and services more affordable for everyone so that kids and adults can receive the educational, physical, and social benefits of our programs while reducing the stress on adults juggling work and household responsibilities with the uncertainties of life. Through our Y for All Fund, qualifying families and individuals can receive a reduced rate on Y programs. Even if you don’t think you would qualify for assistance, we encourage you to apply.
Who Qualifies and How Does It Work?
Anyone who needs assistance in affording camp for their child should apply for financial assistance. The Y uses an independent system to evaluate and make awards.
The application process is online. Click the Apply today button to begin. The Y requires most families that receive 50% Y financial assistance for child care and camp to also apply for state child care subsidy to receive Y financial assistance for child care and camp. In ALL cases where state subsidy is awarded, the family’s co-pay responsibility is reduced at a level much greater than the Y can provide.
Don’t have tax or other documentation available for either process? We have a process to help you apply for financial assistance Send us an email at fa@metroymcas.org.
¿No tiene los documentos necesarios? Tenemos un proceso de solicitud para miembros de la comunidad que no tengan documentos. Se puede enviar un correo electrónico fa@metroymcas.org para obtener más información.

Common Questions About Financial Assistance:
Should I register for camp first, or apply for aid?
We highly recommend that families interested in camp complete their registration for camp AND pay their deposits for camp as soon as possible.
Some families elect to wait to complete their registrations until they learn their award details, however we can not guarantee placement in a camp program without a deposit.
If your family chooses to wait, please complete all forms and leave your registration "in the cart". That way when your financial assistance is awarded, you'll be able to call camp and finalize your registration as soon as possible.
I received an award email, how do I apply it?
Awards are NOT applied automatically. Please contact our camp registrar at lakeinthewoods@metroymcas.org or by phone at 973.383.9282 to have your award added to your account.
What if I need more assistance?
Please contact our office to discuss your situation.
I receive assistance through Norwescap or other third party payers.
Lake in the Woods Day Camp does not accept norwescap at this time. Our sister program, Blue Mountain Day Camp, located in Stillwater, does. Please visit bluemountainymca.org to learn more.
